There were signals everywhere and I spent a large part of the next four hours digging spending money out of the compacted shingle. there was very little about other than coins and junk. The only jewellry was the steel ring from about a foot down. I did spend about an hour on the sand but although it was nice and black as usual decent signals were few and far between. I have no idea what the coin total was but a rough sort suggested about £37 in spending money plus a few foreigners and pre decimals.
Thank god I only have the gardens of a 15thC house to do tomorrow - no more walking!
